GB/T 40778.1-2021 is the English-translated version of 物联网 面向Web开放服务的系统实现 第1部分：参考架构.
GB/T 40778.1-2021 is Part 1 of the Chinese national standard on implementing Internet of Things systems that offer Web-oriented open services, and it gives their reference architecture.
It specifies the architecture and the IoT Web functional components, describing protocol adaptation, object description, object discovery, object sharing and security.
It defines full-function devices, which communicate with a Web server on their own, and reduced-function devices, which need a gateway, together with Web-oriented open services, IoT Web functional components and things.
An informative annex outlines application scenarios, connecting through an edge gateway or directly to a Web server. It is intended for the top-level design of such systems and guides the implementation of interaction between Web open services and objects. It was issued on 11 October 2021 and has applied since 1 May 2022.

Introduction
This document mainly solves the fragmentation of information in the development process of the Internet of Things, opens up information islands, and allows the data information in the Internet of Things to be in each system.
Realize the connection between things, achieve the goal of interconnection of things and things, and then realize the interconnection of everything. This document specifies the Internet of Things for Web Open Services The system's reference architecture provides a reference for the top-level design of the Internet of Things system for Web open services.
The GB/T 40778 "Implementation of the System for Web-oriented Open Services of the Internet of Things" is composed of two parts.
---Part 1: Reference architecture. The purpose is to provide a set of Internet of Things system architecture oriented to Web open services.
---Part 2: Object description method. The purpose is to unify the description of objects between heterogeneous Internet of Things systems for Web open services.
1 Scope
This document specifies the reference architecture and functional components of the Internet of Things system for Web open services, and provides protocol adaptation, object description, Functional components such as object discovery, object sharing, and security assurance are described.
This document is suitable for the top-level design of the Internet of Things system for Web-oriented open services, and is for the interaction of Web-oriented open services and objects. Provide guidance for implementation.

3 Terms and definitions
The following terms and definitions apply to this document.
3.1 Full-function device
According to an agreed protocol, a device that can autonomously communicate with a web server through a network.
3.2 Reduced-function device
Through the network, in accordance with the agreed protocol, it is not able to communicate with the web server autonomously and requires a gateway for information transmission equipment.
3.3 Web-oriented open service
Open services provided through Web technology.
3.4 IoT Web functional component
The software function module used to realize the open service of the Internet of Things in the Internet of Things system.
3.5 Thing
