GB/T 40689-2021 is the English-translated version of 智慧城市设备联接管理与服务平台技术要求.

GB/T 40689-2021 sets the technical requirements for the smart city platform that connects and manages devices and serves data to industry applications.

It gives the overall framework of the platform and the functional requirements of each of its layers: the IoT layer, the data layer, the service layer and the visualization layer, together with operation and maintenance and security management.

1 Scope

This document gives the overall framework of the smart city equipment connection management and service platform, and specifies the functional requirements and interface requirements.

This document is applicable to the planning, construction, operation and maintenance of smart city equipment connection management and service platform projects.

3 Terms and definitions

The following terms and definitions apply to this document.

3.1 Device

Terminals with communication capabilities or gateways with communication capabilities and computing capabilities.

Note: In addition to communication capabilities, the equipment may also have the capabilities of sensing, control, data acquisition, data storage, data processing, and data encryption.

3.2 Smart city equipment connection management and service platform

An information system that realizes the integration and openness of smart city equipment and industry applications. It provides multiple lines through different communication protocols and open interfaces. Industry equipment (3.1) connection management, data management functions, provide data and service support capabilities for industry applications.

3.3 Thing-model

An object model that abstractly describes the attributes, states, and functions of equipment (3.1).

3.4 Edge management

A distributed computing that provides management functions for perception, transmission, and decision-making at the edge of the network.

Note: The management function can occur on the edge side or close to the edge side, and its proximity is determined by the needs of the system.
