Introduction

Parking is one of the important social issues related to urban development and people's livelihood.

With the in-depth promotion of smart parking, smart parking has become an important measure to solve the parking problem in cities in China.

The development of smart parking has become a common goal in the industry, promoting the interconnection and interoperability of parking information, achieving efficient use and reasonable allocation of parking resources, and formulating relevant standards for smart parking.

GB/T 42442 "Smart Parking in Smart Cities" aims to provide guidance for the planning, design, construction and It provides the basis for operation and maintenance, and is planned to consist of three parts.

3 Terms and definitions

The following terms and definitions apply to this document.

3.1 Smart parking smartparking

Use information and communication technology to monitor, manage and serve urban parking resources, improve the utilization rate of urban parking resources and the efficiency of parking management.

An intelligent application that can improve parking efficiency and parking service quality.

3.2 parking lot

The parking area and above-ground and underground structures for motor vehicles. Generally, it consists of entrances and exits, parking spaces, passages and ancillary facilities.

Note. The parking lots referred to in this document include on-street parking lots and urban public parking lots. Among them, urban public parking lots refer to independent parking lots located outside the road red line.
