GB/T 40677-2021 is the English-translated version of 微型导热管.

GB/T 40677-2021 is the Chinese national standard for miniature heat pipes: copper-water heat pipes working at room temperature, no longer than 300 mm and no wider than 10 mm in diameter, with a capillary structure of sintered copper powder, copper wire mesh or grooves.

It sets the requirements, the inspection methods, the inspection rules and the preparation for delivery. It defines the non-effective length and the evaporator and condenser sections, and relies on the GB/T heat pipe standards for heat transfer performance and life testing and on the GB/T 2423 vibration and temperature change tests.

It covers design, manufacture, inspection and acceptance for the electronics industry and other fields, and heat pipes of other sizes may follow it by reference. It was issued on 11 October 2021 and has applied since 1 May 2022.

Foreword

This standard was drafted in accordance with the rules given in GB/T 1.1-2009.

1 Scope

This standard specifies the requirements, inspection methods, inspection rules and delivery preparations for miniature heat pipes.

This standard is applicable to the copper water miniature at room temperature with a length not greater than 300mm and a diameter not greater than 10mm used in the electronics industry and other fields.

Design, manufacture, inspection and acceptance of heat pipes. Other sizes of heat pipes can be implemented by reference.

3 Terms and definitions

The following terms and definitions defined in GB/T 14811-2008 apply to this document.

3.2 Non-effective length of heat pipe

Due to the processing and sealing, the working fluid cannot flow at all in the top area (length) of the heat pipe, and it cannot effectively generate heat exchange. The length of the area.

3.3 Evaporator (zone, section)

A device (zone, section) in which the liquid working medium of the heat pipe absorbs heat and vaporizes into a gaseous state. [GB/T 14811-2008, definition 2.1.5].

3.4 Condenser (zone, section)

A device (zone, section) in which the gaseous working medium of the heat pipe emits heat and transforms from gaseous to liquid.
