1 Scope
This document describes the principle of testing the percentage of seed cotton, equipment and test methods for the percentage of zigzag seed cotton.
This document is applicable to the determination of the percentage of seed cotton.

3 Terms and definitions
The following terms and definitions apply to this document.
3.1 Lint percentage
The quality of lint rolled from the seed cotton accounts for the percentage of the corresponding seed cotton quality.
Note: Usually divided into sweater percentage, quasi-heavy clothing percentage, and official clothing percentage.
3.2 Seed cotton soil trash percentage
The mass of non-cotton fibrous substances other than cottonseed mixed into the seed cotton accounted for the percentage of the mass of the corresponding seed cotton sample.
Note: Generally include dust, leaf debris, cotton stalks, bell shells and other materials.
3.3 Net seed cotton quality
Exclude the quality of the soil impurities in the seed cotton.
3.4 Conditioned lint percentage of seed cotton
The nominal weight of lint rolled from the seed cotton accounts for the percentage of the corresponding seed cotton quality.
3.5 Conditioned lint percentage of net seed cotton
The lint cotton rolled from the seed cotton accounts for the percentage of the corresponding net seed cotton mass.
