GB/T 40420.6-2021 is Part 6 of the Chinese series on broadband customer gateway virtualization over the public telecommunication network and deals with the virtual business, or enterprise, gateway.
It specifies the logical architecture and the function reference model of enterprise gateway virtualization, and the functional requirements of the virtual gateway: access, transmission, addressing, QoS, security, VPN networking and management of the physical gateway at the customer site.
It also covers management and control, including system configuration, alarms and diagnosis and enterprise service configuration, with informative annexes on example service processes such as IPsec VPN networking and on a user management portal.
Its normative references include IETF RFCs on L2TP, NAT, STUN and IPsec. It applies to virtual enterprise gateways based on public telecommunication networks. It was issued on 11 October 2021 and has applied since 1 February 2022.

1 Scope
This part of GB/T 40420 specifies the logical architecture and functions of the virtual enterprise gateway after the virtualization of the broadband customer gateway of the public telecommunication network Reference model, software function, protocol, etc. requirements.
This section applies to virtual enterprise gateways based on public telecommunication networks.
Note: Unless otherwise specified, broadband customer networks appearing in this section all refer to broadband customer networks based on public telecommunications networks, and telecommunications networks all refer to public telecommunications Network and virtual gateway refer to virtual enterprise gateway.
