Scope
GB/T 40415-2021 is the English-translated version of 建筑用光伏玻璃组件透光率测试方法.
GB/T 40415-2021 sets out how to measure the light transmittance of photovoltaic glass modules used in buildings.
It applies to non-hollow flat modules for buildings with daylighting requirements, and it classifies modules by the way they let light through, starting with spacing-type modules in which crystalline silicon or thin-film cells are encapsulated in the glass with gaps between them.
It defines the basic light transmittance of the transparent area in the visible band from 380 nm to 780 nm, the ratio of the transparent area to the total module area, and the module light transmittance as the product of the two.
It then specifies the test environment and instruments, the samples, the two test methods and the test report, with reference to GB/T 2680. It was issued on 20 August 2021 and has applied since 1 March 2022.

Foreword
This document is in accordance with the provisions of GB/T 1.1-2020 "Guidelines for Standardization Work Part 1: Structure and Drafting Rules of Standardization Documents" Drafting.
1 Scope
This document gives the classification of photovoltaic glass modules for buildings, and specifies the environment and instrument requirements for light transmittance testing, samples, and basic light transmittance Rate test method, light transmittance test method and test report.
This document is applicable to the test of light transmittance of non-hollow flat photovoltaic glass modules for buildings with lighting requirements.
2 Normative references
The contents of the following documents constitute the indispensable clauses of this document through normative references in the text. Among them, dated quotations Only the version corresponding to that date is applicable to this document; for undated reference documents, the latest version (including all amendments) is applicable to this document.
GB/T 2680 Architectural glass visible light transmittance, direct sunlight transmittance, total solar transmittance, ultraviolet transmittance and Measurement of closing window glass parameters
3 Terms and definitions
The following terms and definitions apply to this document.
3.1 Photovoltaic glass module
It is a product that is composed of glass, photovoltaic cells, packaging materials, bus bars, insulating tape, terminals and other materials, and has a power generation function.
3.2 Component base light transmittance
The transmittance of the light-transmitting area in the component in the visible light band (380nm~780nm).
3.3 Ratio of the transparent area to the total area of the module
The proportion of the area of the light-transmitting part of the module to the total area of the module.
3.4 Light transmittance of the photovoltaic glass module used in building
The visible light transmittance of the component.
Note: The light transmittance of the module is the product of the basic light transmittance of the module and the area ratio of the light-transmitting area of the module.
4 Categories
According to the different light transmission modes of the components, the components can be divided into the following three categories.
a) Spacing type components Crystal silicon or thin-film batteries are connected to each other and encapsulated inside the glass, and there is a considerable distance between the batteries so that the components can transmit light The components are shown in Figure 1.
