GB/T 40351-2021 is the English-translated version of 循环再利用涤纶生态技术要求.

GB/T 40351-2021 is the Chinese national standard setting ecological requirements for recycled polyester, that is recycled poly(ethylene terephthalate) fibre. It covers terms and definitions, the ecological technical requirements, test methods, sampling and the rules for judging conformity.

It applies to natural and coloured recycled polyester, and other functional recycled polyester can use it as a reference.

The referenced methods point to the substances controlled: formaldehyde, pH, banned, carcinogenic and allergenic dyes, heavy metals including hexavalent chromium, arsenic and mercury, chlorinated benzenes and toluenes, o-phenylphenol, phthalates, alkylphenols, polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons and volatile organic compounds.

Fibre producers and textile testing laboratories use it. It was issued on 20 August 2021 and has applied since 1 March 2022.

1 Scope

This document specifies the terms and definitions, ecological technical requirements, test methods, and sampling of recycled polyester (hereinafter referred to as. recycled polyester) Regulations and judgment rules.

This document applies to natural and colored recycled polyester, and other functional recycled polyester can be used as a reference.
