Scope

GB/T 16603-2025 is the English-translated version of 锦纶牵伸丝.

GB/T 16603-2025 is the Chinese national standard covering nylon 6 and nylon 66 filament yarn drawn to final count — the linear density and its deviation and variation, the breaking strength and elongation and the coefficients of variation that separate one grade from the next, the evenness, the thermal shrinkage and dye uniformity, the oil content, the interlacing and the titanium dioxide that makes the yarn dull, and the package appearance now also checked by machine. The 2025 edition adds a table of its own for nylon 66 and limits for oil content, interlacing and titanium dioxide. Issued on 30 May 2025, it has been in force since 1 December 2025, replacing GB/T 16603-2017.

Foreword

This document is in accordance with the provisions of GB/T 1.1-2020 "Guidelines for standardization work Part 1: Structure and drafting rules for standardization documents" Drafting.

This document replaces GB/T 16603-2017 "Nylon Drawn Yarn". Compared with GB/T 16603-2017, except for structural adjustments and editorial changes, In addition to the modifications, the main technical changes are as follows.

— Changed the scope (see Chapter 1, Chapter 1 of the 2017 edition);

— Changed the terms and definitions (see Chapter 3, Chapter 3 of the 2017 edition);

— Change Table 1 to the performance items and indicators of nylon 6 drawn yarn, and change the linear density deviation rate and linear density variation coefficient Linear density (CVb), coefficient of variation of breaking strength (CVb), coefficient of variation of breaking elongation (CVb), and linear density of strip unevenness (CV) The selection range of the classification limit, the breaking strength index when the single-filament linear density (dpf) is >1.3dtex, and the center value of the breaking elongation (see Table 1, Table 1 of the 2017 edition);

— Added Table 2 performance items and indicators of nylon 66 drawn yarn (see Table 2);

— Added technical requirements for oil content, network degree and titanium dioxide content (see 5.4, 5.5);

— The appearance inspection test method has been changed (see 6.6.1, 6.7.1 and 6.7.2 of the 2017 edition);

— Added online intelligent detection method (see 6.6.2);

— Added oil content test items (see 7.2.1).
