Scope
GB/T 40349-2021 is the English-translated version of 家用和类似用途电器专用WLAN通信模块技术规范.
GB/T 40349-2021 specifies the dedicated WLAN communication modules that connect household and similar electrical appliances to a wireless network.
It defines three categories of module for non-independent operation, complete non-independent operation and restricted non-independent operation, and sets the basic, functional and performance requirements, safety, electromagnetic compatibility and reliability.
The test methods cover test conditions, the test access point and connection diagrams, then basic, function, performance, safety, EMC and reliability tests, with environmental tests for low and high temperature, salt spray, temperature change and random vibration.
It closes with the inspection and sampling plans and packaging, marking, transport and storage. Appliance makers and module suppliers use it. It was issued on 20 August 2021 and has applied since 1 March 2022.
