Scope
GB/T 40004-2021 is the English-translated version of 铜银合金扁线.
GB/T 40004-2021 covers copper-silver alloy rectangular wire used in the power and electrical industries. It sets out the classification and labelling of the wire and its technical requirements, starting with chemical composition.
The test methods include electrical properties measured under GB/T 351, hydrogen embrittlement to GB/T 23606, bending to GB/T 232 and visual inspection of the surface.
The inspection rules deal with acceptance by supplier and purchaser, the time limits for objections, batches of the same designation, state and specification, and the split between exit-factory and type inspection items.
It also covers marks, packaging, transportation and storage under GB/T 8888, the accompanying quality documents and the content of the order form. It was issued on 21 May 2021 and has applied since 1 December 2021.
