Foreword

This standard was drafted in accordance with the rules given in GB/T 1.1-2009.

1 Scope

This standard specifies the structure, model, basic requirements, technical requirements, inspection methods, inspection rules, packaging, and Signs, instructions for use, transportation and storage.

This standard applies to the brace-type shoulder abduction orthosis that fixes the patient's shoulder joint.

This standard does not apply to children's shoulder abduction orthoses and balloon-type shoulder abduction orthoses.

3 Terms and definitions

The following terms and definitions defined in GB/T 14191.1 and GB/T 16432 apply to this document.

3.1 Shoulder abduction orthosis

An orthopedic device used to maintain abduction of the shoulder joint.

3.2 Brace-type shoulder abduction orthosis

An orthopedic device that adopts a brace structure to maintain abduction of the shoulder joint.

3.3 Trunk brace length

The linear distance from the axis of rotation of the torso bracket of the brace-type shoulder abduction orthosis under the armpit to the lower edge of the brace at the position of the iliac crest.

3.4 Upper arm brace length

Assemble the torso brace of the brace-type shoulder abduction orthosis with the forearm brace, and the axis of rotation located under the armpit to be located under the elbow joint The straight-line distance between the rotation axis.

3.5 Forearm brace length

The linear distance from the brace-type shoulder abduction orthosis located at the axis of rotation of the elbow joint to the most distal end of the forearm brace.
