This document complies with the provisions of GB/T 1.1-2020 "Standardization Work Guidelines Part

1.Structure and Drafting Rules of Standardization Documents". Drafting. This document is Part 2 of GB/T 19545 "Requirements and Test Methods for Single-Arm Walking Aids". GB/T 19545 has been published. The following parts were included.

2.Axillary Cradles", and is consistent with... Compared with GB/T 19545.2-2009, apart from structural adjustments and editorial changes, the main technical changes are as follows:

---The definition of axillary crook has been changed (see 3.1,.2009 version 3.1);

---The requirement for product categories and codes has been removed (see Chapter 4 of the.2009 edition);

---The structural dimension requirements have been removed (see

5.1 in the.2009 edition);

---Increased friction requirements for the support legs (see 4.4.6);

---The requirements for the bending strength test have been changed (see 4.5.2,

5.6.2 in the.2009 version);

---Added requirements and methods for low-temperature testing (see 4.6, 6.6);

1 Scope

GB/T 19545.2-2026 is the Chinese national standard covering the underarm crutch - the strength and fatigue of the shaft and the adjustment mechanism, the slip resistance of the tip, the grip and the pad, and the marking that tells the user the weight limit. It replaces GB/T 19545.2-2009. It was issued on 28 January 2026 and has been in force since 1 August 2026, replacing GB/T 19545.2-2009. The document is under the responsibility of the Ministry of Civil Affairs. 3 Terms and Definitions

The following terms and definitions apply to this document.

3.1 axillary crutch A handheld device that provides support and balance while walking.

3.2 axillary support The support is placed on the upper part of the body, near the armpits, during use.

3.3 axillary support cover The component that covers the armpit support.

3.4 Handgrip The part used for hand gripping during use.

3.5 Handgrip cover The component that covers the handle.

3.6 sidebows The component that connects the armpit support, handle, and armpit leg (telescopic bar).
