Scope
GB/T 39848-2021 is the English-translated version of 平板显示器色域测量方法.
GB/T 39848-2021 is the Chinese method for measuring the colour gamut of a flat panel display. It sets the general requirements, the test signals, the measurement methods and the way the measured data is processed.
It applies to television receivers and television monitors with flat panel displays, and the sets, monitors, projectors and computer displays with other screens may follow it.
Display and television makers and test laboratories use it. Issued on 9 March 2021, it has applied since 1 October 2021.

This standard was drafted in accordance with the rules given in GB/T 1.1-2009.
1 Scope
This standard specifies the general requirements, test signals, measurement methods and measurement data processing methods for the color gamut measurement of flat panel displays.
This standard applies to television receivers (hereinafter referred to as receivers) and television monitors (hereinafter referred to as monitors) using flat-panel displays.
Color gamut measurement. Refer to the color gamut measurement of receivers and displays using other display screens, as well as electronic projection equipment and computer displays carried out.

3 Terms, definitions and abbreviations
3.1 Terms and definitions SJ/T 11324-2006 and the following
terms and definitions apply to this document.
3.1.1 Background
The part outside the color sampling area in the measured image.
3.1.2 Color sampling area colorpatch
The range of the measurement area in the measured image is filled with the red, green or blue primary color normalized by the reference white amplitude, or other brightness, hue and color The saturation of the color of the chromaticity coordinate value to be measured.
3.1.3 Measurement area testarea
The effective measurement range in the color sampling area of the measured image.
3.1.4 Colorspace
In the TV system, all colors are represented in a three-dimensional space represented by groups of three mutually independent components corresponding to three coordinate axes.
3.1.5 DefaultRGB colorspace;sRGB
Color space standardized by IEC 61966-2-1.
Note: GB/T 14857-1993 and GY/T 155-2000 conventional color gamut television systems all use this color space.
3.1.6 Uniform color space uniform color space; UCS
Through any point in the color space, changing the same distance in any direction, the color change is approximately the same color space.
