1 Scope
This standard specifies the process requirements for the production of methanol using coke oven gas as raw materials, as well as the requirements for resource utilization and environmental protection.

3 Terms and definitions
The following terms and definitions apply to this document.
3.1 Coke oven gas
Gaseous combustible by-products produced by high-temperature dry distillation of coking coal during coking.
3.2 Chemical recovery
Physical and chemical means to remove water vapor, tar vapor, crude benzene, ammonia (NH3), hydrogen sulfide (H2S), cyanide in coke oven gas
Such as impurities, the process of producing clean gas.
3.3 Methane conversion
Convert methane in coke oven gas to carbon monoxide, carbon dioxide and hydrogen, so that it meets the requirements of the gas composition required for methanol synthesis process.
3.4 Methanol synthesis
The process of carbon monoxide, carbon dioxide and hydrogen in methanol synthesis gas reacts under the action of catalyst in the synthesis tower to produce crude methanol.
