GB/T 3883.402-2023 is the Chinese standard "Safety of motor-operated hand-held, transportable and garden tools - Part 402: Particular requirements for hedge trimmers".

Its scope clause reads: Except for the following provisions, this chapter of GB/T 3883.1-2014 applies. Increase. This document applies to pruning shears used by one person for trimming hedges and shrubs, including extension pruners with a maximum length of not more than 3.5m.

Pruners. Note 101.For the measurement of the length of extension rod pruners, see the provisions of 21.101. This document does not apply to pruning shears with rotating blades.

This document does not apply to scissor-type grass shears. Note 102.Scissor-type grass shears are included in GB/T 4706.64. Its clauses include normative reference documents; terms and definitions.
