Foreword

This Standard was drafted in accordance with the rules given in GB/T 1.1-2009.

1 Scope

This Standard specifies requirements, test methods, rules for determination, packaging marks, implementation of standard for low-volatile-organic-compound-content coatings product.

This Standard is applicable to the determination of low-volatile-organic-compound-content coatings product.

3 Terms and definitions

For the purposes of this document, the terms and definitions defined in GB/T 5206-2015 as well as the followings apply. For ease of use, some terms and definitions in GB/T 5206-2015 are listed repeatedly below.

4 Requirements

The limit value of VOC content in water-based coatings shall meet the requirements of Table 1. The limit value of VOC content in solvent-based coatings shall meet the requirements of Table 2. The limit value of VOC content in solvent-free coatings shall meet the requirements of Table 3.

5 Test methods

6 Rules for determination

6.1 The test result is determined according to the rounding-off comparison method in GB/T 8170-2008.

6.2 When the VOC content in the application condition is indicated in the inspection report, the application condition shall be determined according to the provisions of 5.2.1.

7 Packaging marks

7.1 In addition to the product packaging mark shall meet the requirements of GB/T 9750, products that have passed the inspection according to this Standard can be clearly indicated on the packaging mark.

7.2 The construction ratio in the application condition shall be specified on the packaging mark or in the product manual.

7.3 The classification, product category and product type (or application method) conformity to this Standard shall be indicated on the packaging mark or in the product manual.

7.4 Solvent-based coatings containing reactive diluents shall be clearly indicated on the package mark or in the product manual.

7.6 For polyurethane, epoxy and other multi-component curing coatings, the applicable period shall be indicated on the package mark or in the product manual.

8 Implementation of standard

8.2 When spot-checking coating products under application condition at the painting site, the sampling inspection of multi-component cured coatings shall be carried out within the applicable period of the product.
