3 Terms and definitions

The following terms and definitions apply to this document.

3.1 Landslide

The geological body slides downward along the weak geological surface under the action of gravity.

Note. Landslides usually have a double meaning, referring to the process of gravity sliding, or the geological body and the accumulation body formed by gravity sliding.

3.2 Slip surface

The interface between the sliding and accumulation of landslides, including the sliding surface formed during the sliding shearing process and the sliding process formed during the overlying accumulation process
