Scope

GB/T 3804-2017 (High voltage alternating current switches for rated voltage above 3.6 kV and less than 40.5 kV) is available as an English-translated PDF.

GB/T 3804-2017 — This standard applies to the rated voltage of 3.6kV~40.5kV, the frequency is 50Hz, installed indoors or outdoors and has the function of closing and breaking.

Flow rating of three-pole AC load switch and isolated load switch. This standard also applies to single-pole load switches for three-phase systems. This standard also applies to the operating mechanism of these load switches and their auxiliary equipment.

The isolation function of the isolated load switch should also meet GB/T 1985-2014. This standard does not cover load switches that rely solely on human energy storage.

The general principles and provisions of this standard also apply to unipolar load switches in single-phase systems. Insulation test and closing and breaking test the requirements shall meet the requirements for the intended use.

This standard specifies the requirements for general purpose, special purpose and special purpose load switches used in power distribution systems.

Assume that the opening and closing operations are performed according to the manufacturer's instructions, and a closing operation can be performed immediately after the breaking operation, but the closing is performed.

The breaking operation cannot be performed immediately after the operation because the breaking current may exceed the rated breaking current of the load switch.

Note 1. In addition to requiring a special distinction, the term "load switch" represents all types of load switches and isolated load switches within the scope of this standard.

Note 2. The grounding switch is not included in the scope of this standard. The earthing switch, which is part of the load switch, is included in GB/T 1985-2014.

Note 3. This standard does not apply to switchgear with load switch as accessory for high-voltage fuse complete device or its base, nor for complete set of fuses. Switching device for opening and closing operation of the device.
