Scope
GB/T 37831-2019 is the English-translated version of 航空玻璃光学性能试验方法.
GB/T 37831-2019 is an optical performance test method for aeronautical glass.
Clause 1 states that it specifies the terms and definitions of aerospace glass, the test environmental conditions and the test methods for optical properties such as haze, light transmittance, optical distortion, optical angular deviation and binocular parallax, and that it applies to organic or inorganic aerospace transparent parts of single or laminated structure.
Clause 2 cites GB/T 2410 alone.
Clause 3 defines five terms: transmittance, as the ratio of the luminous flux passing through a transparent material or transparent member to the luminous flux incident on it, expressed as a percentage; haze, also expressed as a percentage; optical distortion, as the deformation of the geometry of an object seen through a transparent material or member; optical angular deviation, as the change in the angle of travel of light after passing through it; and binocular parallax, as the difference between the two optical angular deviations when the material or member is viewed with both eyes, with a note that in measurement the figure is taken from two parallel rays separated by the average distance between a person's eyes, 63.5 mm.
Clause 4 requires the tests, except where there are special requirements, to be carried out at an ambient temperature of 20 degrees C plus or minus 5 degrees C and a relative humidity of 40 % RH to 80 % RH.
The draft on the page breaks off inside clause 4, so the individual test methods are not shown. The standard was proposed by the China Building Materials Federation and is under the jurisdiction of the National Industrial Glass and Special Glass Standardization Technical Committee (SAC/TC447). It was issued on 2019-08-30 and has applied since 2020-07-01.

Foreword
This standard was drafted in accordance with the rules given in GB/T 1.1-2009.
1 Scope
This standard specifies the terms and definitions of aerospace glass, test environmental conditions, haze, light transmittance, optical distortion, optical angular deviation and binocular Test method for optical properties such as parallax.
This standard applies to organic or inorganic aerospace transparent parts of single or laminated structure.
2 Normative references
The following documents are indispensable for the application of this document. For dated references, only dated versions apply to this document. For undated references, the latest edition (including all amendments) applies to this document.

3 Terms and definitions
The following terms and definitions apply to this document.
3.1 Transmittance
The ratio of the luminous flux through a transparent material or transparent member to the luminous flux incident on a transparent material or transparent member is expressed as a percentage.
3.2 Haze
The ratio of the scattered light flux to the direction of the incident light transmitted through the transparent material or the transparent member to the direction of the incident light is expressed as a percentage.
3.3 Optical distortion
When viewed through transparent materials or transparent parts, the geometry of the object is deformed.
3.4 Optical angular deviation
The amount of change in the angle of light travel after passing light through a transparent material or a transparent piece.
3.5 Binocular parallax
The difference between the two optical angular deviations when the eyes are viewed through the transparent material or the transparent member.
Note: In the measurement, the binocular parallax is the optical angular deviation produced by two points of the two parallel rays passing through the glass representing the average distance (63.5 mm) of the eyes of the person. Difference.
4 Test environmental conditions
Except for special requirements, the test shall be carried out under the following environmental conditions.
a) Ambient temperature. 20 °C ± 5 °C;
b) relative humidity. 40% RH ~ 80% RH;
