1 Scope

This standard specifies the terms and definitions, test principles, test equipment, specimens, and test methods for measuring the elastic modulus of ultra-thin glass using the cantilever beam vibration method.

Test, result calculation and test report.

This standard is applicable to the elastic modulus test of glass with a thickness of 0.1mm~1.1mm.

2 Normative references

3 Terms and definitions

The following terms and definitions apply to this document.

3.1 Ultra-thin glass cantilever

One end is an ultra-thin glass beam that is fixed on a support and does not produce axial or left-right displacement and rotation, and the other end is a free end.

3.2 Vibration frequency of cantilever beam

The number of vibrations of the cantilever beam per unit time.

4 Test principle

The natural frequency of the cantilever beam under free vibration is determined by the sample size, elastic modulus and mass. Prepare ultra-thin glass into a cantilever beam,

And measure the first-order natural frequency and the size and mass of the cantilever beam under the lateral free vibration, and obtain the ultra-thin glass according to the given calculation formula

Elastic Modulus.

5 Test device

5.1 Specimen supporting device

The sample support base should be composed of a metal block with a certain mass, and the total mass should be greater than 1000g.

5.2 Vibration test system

The vibration test system consists of sensors, signal acquisition amplifiers and data analysis systems. The sensor should choose non-contact laser sensor

Or other photoelectric sensors that can measure glass vibration, the frequency measurement range is 1Hz~4kHz, the length measurement range is not less than 10mm,

The working distance is 20mm~500mm, and the sensor should be fixed on a height-adjustable support base. Signal acquisition and amplifier including signal modulation

Controller, A/D converter, frequency accurate to 0.1%.

The sensor support base should be placed on a flat and stable test bench. Figure 1 is a basic schematic diagram of the test device.

6 Sample

6.1

Cut the ultra-thin glass into a beam with a length of 150mm±1mm and a width of 10mm±0.5mm. The type diagram of ultra-thin glass sample is shown in Figure 2.

6.2

The cutting edge of the sample does not need to be chamfered, but the cutting edge should be finely ground, and the cutting edge should have no visible cracks, chipped edges and missing corners.

6.3

The surface of the sample is required to be flat, without visible scratches and damages.

6.4

No less than 10 samples should be prepared.

7 Test

7.1 Sample size measurement

Use a vernier caliper that meets the requirements of GB/T 1216 to measure the sample size. Length and width measurement are accurate to 0.1mm, thickness measurement is accurate

Accurate to 0.02mm. When measuring the length, measure the positions close to the two long sides, and take the average value as the final result value. Thickness measurement

When, choose to measure at the two ends and the middle of the beam, and take the average value as the final result value. When measuring the thickness, select the

Measure the two ends and the middle, and take the average value as the final result value.

7.2 Sample quality measurement

The mass of the sample is measured with a balance, accurate to 0.001g.

7.3 Cantilever beam production

Use 502 glue or other high-strength instant-drying liquid adhesive to bond the sample firmly to the base bearing. After the bond is solidified, remove the overflow in the bond

Noodle bonding agent. The sample bonding length l is 30mm±1mm, and the sample should be perpendicular to the horizontal plane after the bonding is solidified.

7.4 Cantilever length measurement

Measure the length of the two sides of the cantilever with a vernier caliper, and take the average value as the final result value, accurate to 0.1mm.

7.5 First-order vibration frequency measurement of cantilever beam

Start the detection device, set the basic parameters of the equipment, adjust the signal receiving sensor, and make the irradiating laser irradiate the surface of the cantilever beam. Correct

The free end of the cantilever beam exerts a certain force to cause the free end of the cantilever beam to deform 5mm~10mm and then release it quickly. At this time, the cantilever beam produces

Free lateral vibration. Use the signal receiving and processor to obtain the lateral free vibration curve, and calculate the first order of the cantilever through the data processing system

Natural frequency of vibration. Each sample should measure 3 times of vibration frequency, and take the average value as the final result value.

8 Result calculation

The elastic modulus of ultra-thin glass is calculated according to formula (1).

9 Test report

The test report should include at least the following.

a) Entrusting unit;

b) Sample name, specification and number;

c) The model of the instrument used;

d) Implementation standard number;

f) Test unit and test personnel;

g) test date;

h) Other relevant information.
