Scope
GB/T 37197-2018 is the English-translated version of 乙烯-乙酸乙烯酯(EVAC)树脂.
GB/T 37197-2018 is the Chinese national product standard for ethylene-vinyl acetate (EVAC) resin, the copolymer obtained by polymerising ethylene and vinyl acetate.
It applies to grades with a vinyl acetate content between 3% and 40% by mass, and covers classification and naming, requirements, test methods, inspection rules, marking, packaging, transport and storage.
Classification and naming follow GB/T 30924.1-2016, and separate technical requirements are given for injection-moulding, film and cable grades.
The test methods refer to national standards for pellet appearance, density, melt mass-flow and melt volume-flow rate, melting temperature by DSC, vinyl acetate content, light transmittance and haze, and volume and surface resistivity.
Resin producers and plastics processors use it for grading and acceptance. It was issued on 28 December 2018 and has applied since 1 November 2019.

Foreword
This standard was drafted in accordance with the rules given in GB/T 1.1-2009.
1 Scope
This standard specifies the classification and naming of ethylene-vinyl acetate (EVAC) resins, requirements, test methods, inspection rules, signs and Document, packaging, transportation and storage.
This standard is applicable to the ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer obtained by polymerizing ethylene and vinyl acetate as monomers. Copolymerization The vinyl acetate content (mass fraction) is 3% to 40%.
Note: EVA, the abbreviation for ethylene-vinyl acetate resin, also frequently uses EVA.
