Scope

GB/T 37196-2018 is the English-translated version of 塑料 聚醚多元醇\聚合物多元醇 醛酮含量的测定.

GB/T 37196-2018 is the Chinese national method for determining aldehydes and ketones in polyether polyols and polymer polyols by high performance liquid chromatography.

It covers formaldehyde, acetaldehyde, acrolein and acetone, and other carbonyl compounds can be determined by reference to it.

The carbonyl compounds in the sample react with 2,4-dinitrophenylhydrazine (DNPH) under strong acid to form stable hydrazone derivatives, which are separated by liquid chromatography, identified by retention time and quantified by peak area.

The standard defines derivatization and hydrazone derivatives and refers to GB/T 6682 for the laboratory water. It is meant for polyol producers and testing laboratories. It was issued on 28 December 2018 and has applied since 1 November 2019.

Foreword

This standard was drafted in accordance with the rules given in GB/T 1.1-2009.

1 Scope

This standard specifies the determination of aldehyde and ketone content in polyether polyols or polymer polyols by high performance liquid chromatography.

This standard applies to the determination of formaldehyde, acetaldehyde, acrolein and acetone in polyether polyols or polymer polyols, other carbonyl containing The content of the compound can be determined by reference to this standard.

2 Normative references

The following documents are indispensable for the application of this document. For dated references, only dated versions apply to this document. For undated references, the latest edition (including all amendments) applies to this document.

3 Terms and definitions

The following terms and definitions apply to this document.

3.1 Derivatization

The target compound which is difficult to detect in the sample is quantitatively converted into a compound which is easy to detect by a chemical reaction, and the latter can be detected by the latter. Qualitative and/or quantitative analysis of the target compound.

3.2 Hydrazone derivatives

The carbonyl-containing compound component reacts with 2,4-dinitrophenylhydrazine (hereinafter referred to as DNPH) under the action of a strong acid to form a stable Compound.

4 Method summary

The carbonyl-containing compound component of the sample reacts with DNPH under strong acid to form a stable colored quinone derivative, which is highly efficient.

Determination of anthraquinone derivatives by liquid chromatography, using retention time characterization and peak area quantification to obtain the aldehyde/ketone substance content in the sample The chemical reaction equation is as follows. […]
