GB/T 37159.3-2018 is the English-translated version of 石油天然气钻采设备海洋石油自升式钻井平台第3部分：运营检验.

GB/T 37159.3-2018 is the third part of the Chinese standard on offshore self-elevating (jack-up) drilling units for oil and gas, and it deals with their operation and surveys.

It sets out the certificates and documents a unit must hold, the requirements for its operations and the statutory and classification surveys it must undergo. Two normative annexes list the certificates and materials required for operating the unit and the operating records, certificates and reports to be checked at inspection.

It draws on national, petroleum industry and metrology standards and on maritime rules, from explosive atmosphere equipment and safety valves to well control and pre-operation inspection of offshore drilling units.

It applies to the operation and inspection of offshore jack-up drilling units. It was issued on 28 December 2018 and has applied since 1 July 2019.

Foreword

GB/T 37159 "Petroleum and Natural Gas Drilling Equipment Offshore Oil Jack-up Drilling Platform" is divided into three parts.

--- Part 1. Functional configuration and technical requirements;

--- Part 2. Construction installation and adjustment test;

--- Part 3. Operational inspection.

This part is the third part of GB/T 37159.

This part is drafted in accordance with the rules given in GB/T 1.1-2009.

1 Scope

This part of GB/T 37159 stipulates the certificate and work of the offshore oil jack-up drilling platform (hereinafter referred to as "platform"). Industry and inspection requirements.

This section applies to the operation and inspection of offshore oil jack-up rigs.
