Scope

GB/T 36979-2018 is the English-translated version of LED产品空间颜色分布测量方法.

GB/T 36979-2018 sets out how to express and measure the colour of white LED products for lighting, meaning LED lamps, modules and luminaires, both on average and as it varies in space.

It covers chromaticity parameters, spatial chromaticity distribution, spatial average chromaticity, spatial colour non-uniformity and standard light colours with their tolerance ranges.

It fixes the measurement conditions, from laboratory, ambient and tp point temperature to air flow, supply voltage and current, operating position and stabilization, and describes the integrating sphere-spectroradiometer and the distribution spectroradiometer methods, with calibration and traceability.

Informative annexes cover measuring distance, angle scan modes and sampling interval. LED packages and OLED products are excluded, though they may refer to it. It was issued on 28 December 2018 and has applied since 1 July 2019.

Foreword

This standard was drafted in accordance with the rules given in GB/T 1.1-2009.

1 Scope

This standard specifies white LED lights, white LED modules and white LED lamps (hereinafter collectively referred to as "LED products") for lighting.

The color parameter representation and the method of measuring the average color and spatial color distribution.

This standard applies to white LED products for lighting. This standard does not include LED packages and OLED (Organic Light Emitting Diode) products.

However, the above products can refer to this standard when encountering similar problems.

3.1 Total spectral radiant flux

The spectral intensity of the total radiant flux Phie of the LED product in the full geometric space (4pi solid angle) [see equation (1)].

Note: The unit is watts per nanometer (W·nm-1).

3.2 Spectral irradiance

The spectral radiant flux on the bin containing the point projected onto the face is divided by the bin area dA [see equation (2)].
