GB/T 36758-2018 is the English-translated version of 含氯消毒剂卫生要求.

GB/T 36758-2018 sets the Chinese national hygiene requirements for chlorine-based disinfectants, whose main bactericidal ingredient is available chlorine.

This standard was drafted in accordance with the rules given in GB/T 1.1-2009.

1 Scope

This standard specifies the raw material requirements, technical requirements, application scope, methods of use, transportation storage packaging requirements, marking requirements and testing methods for chlorine-containing disinfectants.

This standard applies to disinfectants with effective chlorine as the main bactericidal ingredient, including sodium hypochlorite, calcium hypochlorite, liquid chlorine, chloramine, sodium dichloroisocyanurate, trichloroisocyanuric acid, trisodium chlorinated phosphate, dichlorohydantoin, hypochlorous acid, etc., but excluding disinfectants in which one of them is only one of the bactericidal ingredients.

3 Terms and definitions

The following terms and definitions apply to this document.

3.1 Available chlorine

The oxidizing ability of chlorine-containing disinfectants is equivalent to the amount of chlorine. It is a measure of the oxidizing ability of chlorine-containing disinfectants. The effective chlorine content is mg/L or Percentage (%) is indicated.

3.2 Chlorine disinfectant

A disinfectant that dissolves in water to produce hypochlorous acid.

3.3 Hypochlorous acid disinfectant

The disinfectant stock solution contains a stable disinfectant of hypochlorous acid.
