Scope

GB/T 36691-2018 is the English-translated version of 甲基乙烯基硅橡胶 乙烯基含量的测定 近红外法.

GB/T 36691-2018 describes a near-infrared spectroscopy method for determining the vinyl content, expressed as vinyl mole fraction, of methyl vinyl silicone rubber.

It applies to rubber copolymerised from dimethylsiloxane rings and methylvinylsiloxane and covers vinyl contents from 0.04% to 5.00%. The method uses the characteristic spectrum of hydrogen-containing groups between 780 nm and 2500 nm and a chemometric model to predict the vinyl content.

The standard describes the near-infrared spectrometer and its software, the low-content and high-content calibration samples and the analysis steps, starting with instrument preparation, and relies on GB/T 29858 for multivariate calibration. It was issued on 17 September 2018 and has applied since 1 April 2019.

Foreword

This standard was drafted in accordance with the rules given in GB/T 1.1-2009.

1 Scope

This standard specifies the method for determining the vinyl content (vinyl mole fraction) of methyl vinyl silicone rubber by near-infrared method. The vinyl content ranges from 0.04% to 5.00%.

This standard applies to methyl vinyl silicone rubber copolymerized with a dimethylsiloxane ring and methyl vinylsiloxane.

2 Normative references

The following documents are indispensable for the application of this document. For dated references, only dated versions apply to this document. For undated references, the latest edition (including all amendments) applies to this document.

3 Terms and definitions

The terms and definitions defined in GB/T 29858 apply to this document.

4 Principle

Near-infrared spectroscopy uses chemical bonds such as hydrogen-containing groups XH (X=C, N, O) at wavelengths from 780 nm to 2500 nm.

The characteristic spectrum generated by vibration or rotation, the stoichiometric method is used to establish a quantitative model for predicting vinyl content, and the model is determined by model Vinyl content in vinyl-based silicone rubber.

5 Instruments and calibration samples

Near-infrared spectrometer. Random software has the functions of collection, storage analysis and calculation of near-infrared spectral data, which can establish reliable settings.

For the standard model, an integrating sphere module or a transmissive module is required, and an accessory with a fixed optical path quartz surface is included. Should comply with GB/T 29858 instrument Claim.

Calibration sample. low vinyl content methyl vinyl silicone rubber sample with a vinyl content of 0.04% to 0.30% and 0.30%~ 5.00% high vinyl vinyl silicone rubber sample.

6 Analysis steps

6.1 Instrument preparation

Before the measurement, the instrument preheating and self-testing are carried out according to the requirements of the near-infrared analyzer manual.
