Scope

GB/T 28610-2020 is the English-translated version of 甲基乙烯基硅橡胶.

GB/T 28610-2020 is the Chinese national standard for methyl vinyl silicone rubber (MVQ), covering grades, requirements, test methods, inspection rules, marking, packaging, transport and storage.

It applies to rubber polymerised from mixed dimethylsiloxane rings and methylvinylcyclosiloxane with vinyl or methyl end-capping. Grades are coded on the GB/T 5577 pattern, so that MVQ110-1 is a vinyl-terminated high-temperature-curing grade whose vinyl chain-link molar fraction is 0.07% to 0.12%.

Against the 2012 edition it adds the grades MVQ110-0 and MVQ112-0 to the type 110 and type 112 families, revises the indices for viscosity-average molecular weight and volatile content, and allows that molecular weight to be obtained by the Mooney viscosity method and the vinyl content by near-infrared spectroscopy.

It replaces GB/T 28610-2012, was issued on 6 March 2020 and has applied since 1 February 2021.

Foreword

This standard was drafted in accordance with the rules given in GB/T 1.1-2009.

This standard replaces GB/T 28610-2012 "methyl vinyl silicone rubber". Compared with GB/T 28610-2012, except for editorial changes The main technical changes are as follows.

--- Added some normative references (see Chapter 2);

--- "Classification" modified to "brand" (see Chapter 3, Chapter 3 of the 2012 edition);

--- 110 type methyl vinyl silicone rubber added grade MVQ110-0 and its technical requirements (see 4.1);

--- 112 type methyl vinyl silicone rubber added grade MVQ112-0 and its technical requirements (see 4.2);

--- Revised the technical index of relative viscosity average molecular weight and volatile content (see Chapter 4, Chapter 4 of the 2012 edition);

--- Increase the relative viscosity average molecular weight by increasing the Mooney viscosity method (see 5.1.2 and Appendix B);

--- Determination of the molar fraction of vinyl chains by adding near-infrared spectroscopy (see 5.2.2);

--- Deleted the determination of molecular weight (visual method) (see Appendix E of the 2012 edition);

--- The order of appendices has been adjusted (Appendix C, Appendix D, and Appendix E of this edition correspond to Appendix B, Appendix C, and Appendix D of the 2012 edition, respectively).

1 Scope

This standard specifies the grades, requirements, test methods, inspection rules, signs, packaging, transportation, and specifications of methyl vinyl silicone rubber (MVQ). Storage.

This standard applies to dimethylsiloxane mixed ring and methylvinylcyclosiloxane as the main raw materials.

Methyl vinyl silicone rubber obtained by polymerization reaction under the capping effect of siloxane or methyl capping agent.

3 Grades

According to the principles stipulated in GB/T 5577, the grades of methyl vinyl silicone rubber are sequentially expressed by the combination of the following letters and numbers.

--- The rubber code is represented by MVQ;

--- High temperature curing type is represented by the number 1;

--- Vinyl-containing substituents are represented by the number 1;

--- Vinyl end cap is represented by the number 0; methyl end cap is represented by the number 2;

--- The molar fraction of vinyl chain links is represented by 0, 1, 2 and 3 (from Table 1 and Table 2). Example:

The grade of vinyl-terminated methyl vinyl silicone rubber with a vinyl chain molar fraction of 0.07% to 0.12% is. MVQ110-1.

4 Requirements

4.1 Type 110 methyl vinyl silicone rubber

Type 110 methyl vinyl silicone rubber shall meet the requirements of Table 1.
