Scope
GB/T 36648-2018 is the English-translated version of TFT单体液晶材料规范.
GB/T 36648-2018 is the Chinese national specification for the monomer liquid crystal materials that are blended into TFT mixed liquid crystal materials. It divides the products into two types, liquid and solid monomers, and sets requirements for appearance, mechanical impurities and a table of technical indicators.
The test methods cover environmental conditions, appearance, mechanical impurities, purity and maximum impurity by gas or liquid chromatography, volatiles by gas chromatography, resistivity, moisture content and metal ion content.
It also gives the inspection rules, from batches and sampling to type tests, factory inspection, decision rules and the certificate of conformity, and the marking, packaging, transport and storage of the product. It was issued on 17 September 2018 and has applied since 1 April 2019.

The terms and definitions defined in SJ/T 11203-1999 apply to this document.
4 Product Categories
According to the physical properties of the product, there are two types. liquid TFT monomer liquid crystal material and solid TFT single crystal liquid crystal material.
5 Technical requirements
5.1 Appearance
The liquid TFT monomer liquid crystal material is a colorless transparent liquid or a milky white liquid; the solid TFT monomer liquid crystal material is a white solid.
5.2 Mechanical impurities
The liquid TFT monomer liquid crystal material and the dissolved solid TFT monomer liquid crystal material solution should have no visible suspension.
5.3 Technical Specifications
The technical specifications of the TFT monomer liquid crystal material are shown in Table 1.
