Scope
GB/T 36647-2018 is the English-translated version of 普通单体液晶材料规范.
GB/T 36647-2018 is the Chinese national product specification for ordinary monomer liquid crystal materials, the monomers needed for common liquid crystal materials such as TN, HTN, STN, VA and 3D types.
It divides the products into liquid and solid monomers and sets requirements for appearance, mechanical impurities and a table of technical indicators. The test methods cover the environmental conditions, purity and maximum impurity by gas or liquid chromatography, volatiles by gas chromatography, resistivity and moisture content.
It also gives the inspection rules, from grouping into batches and sampling to type and factory inspection, the decision rule and the certificate of conformity, together with marking, packaging, transport and storage. It was issued on 17 September 2018 and has applied since 1 April 2019.

1 Scope
This standard specifies the product classification, technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules, marking, packaging, transportation and storage of common monomer liquid crystals.
This standard is applicable to the monomer liquid crystal materials required for common liquid crystal materials such as TN, HTN, STN, VA, and 3D.

3 Terms and definitions
The terms and definitions defined in SJ/T 11203-1999 apply to this document.
4 Product Categories
According to the physical properties of the product, it is divided into two categories. liquid ordinary monomer liquid crystal material and solid ordinary monomer liquid crystal material.
5 Technical requirements
5.1 Appearance
The liquid ordinary monomer liquid crystal material is a colorless transparent liquid or a milky white liquid; the solid ordinary monomer liquid crystal material is a white solid.
5.2 Mechanical impurities
The liquid TFT monomer liquid crystal material and the dissolved solid TFT monomer liquid crystal material solution should have no visible suspension.
5.3 Technical Specifications
The technical specifications of common monomer liquid crystal materials are shown in Table 1.
