Scope

GB/T 36628.1-2018 is the English-translated version of 信息技术 系统间远程通信和信息交换 可见光通信 第1部分:媒体访问控制和物理层总体要求.

GB/T 36628.1-2018 is Part 1 of the Chinese national series on visible light communication between information technology systems, and gives the general requirements for the media access control (MAC) and physical layers.

It covers high-speed and low-speed visible light communication and indoor positioning based on visible light communication. After terms and abbreviations, it describes network topology, band requirements, heterogeneous VLC and RF networks and the protocol reference model, then the physical layer requirements for each of the three uses.

The MAC layer clauses deal with the superframe, channel access, creating and maintaining a LiPAN, association and disassociation, acknowledgement and retransmission, bandwidth management, full-duplex transmission, mobility and handover, and flicker avoidance and dimming.

It applies to the development and use of visible light communication systems and equipment, was issued on 17 September 2018 and has applied since 1 April 2019.

3 Terms and definitions

The following terms and definitions apply to this document.

3.1 4B6B encoding

The input 4-bit original codeword is encoded as a redundant binary code of the 6-bit output codeword.

3.2 Backhaul link

A wired link or a wireless link that connects the coordinators of multiple LiPANs managed by the same global controller.

3.3 Beacon area; BP

An area in a superframe used by the coordinator to transmit a beacon, divided into one or more beacon slots, each coordinator using one of them The beacon slot transmits a beacon.

3.4 Coordinator

The device responsible for coordinating and managing the communication of each LiPAN device in LiPAN is responsible for completing the network control, LiPAN maintenance management, and management. Communication resources.

3.5 Global controller

Responsible for the functions of switching, interference management, LiPAN status monitoring, etc. between multiple LiPANs connected through the backhaul link body. It can exist alone or co-located with a LiPAN coordinator.

3.6 Global shutter

A shutter that controls the simultaneous exposure of all pixels in the image.
