Scope
GB/T 36533-2018 is the English-translated version of 硅酸盐中微颗粒铁的化学态测定 俄歇电子能谱法.
GB/T 36533-2018 is the Chinese national method for identifying micro-particles of iron in silicate materials and measuring how much of them there is, using Auger electron spectroscopy.
It specifies the principle of the method, the instrument and its calibration, the preparation of the specimen, the measurement procedure and the way the chemical state of the iron is read from the spectrum, together with the calculation of the result and the test report.
It applies to iron micro-particles larger than 30 nm. Materials laboratories working on glass, ceramics and mineral products use it. Issued on 13 July 2018, it has applied since 1 June 2019.

3 Terms and definitions
The terms and definitions defined in GB/T 22461-2008 apply to this document.
4 Principle of the method
The basic principle of Auger electron spectroscopy is based on the definition of Chapter 4 of GB/T 26533-2011.
5 Sample preparation
5.1 Sample charge effect control
Preparation of silicate samples containing elemental iron fine particles, using an ultra-thin slicer or a focused ion thinning system The cross section of the fine particles was obtained by slicing, and then analyzed by Auger electron spectroscopy. Try to make the sample and sample stage good when installing the sample.
Electrical contact. Minimize the charge of the insulator silicate fine particles according to the requirements of A.3 of GB/T 32998-2016, and Calculate the charging effect according to the Chinese formula (A.1) of GB/T 32998-2016. The approximate value of the surface potential Ue is given by equation (1).
