Scope

GB/T 36523-2018 is the English-translated version of 供水管道复合式高速排气进气阀.

GB/T 36523-2018 covers compound quick intake and exhaust air valves for water supply pipelines: valves that release air rapidly while a pipe fills, admit air quickly under negative pressure and discharge small amounts of air under working pressure.

It applies to valves up to PN25, sizes DN50 to DN300, for water not above 55 °C. The standard sets the model designation and structure types, then requirements for connections, vent size, valve body, float assembly, fasteners, exhaust and intake performance, body and float strength, sealing, durability, casting quality, drinking-water hygiene, painting and installation.

It also covers materials, test methods, inspection rules, marking, packaging and storage, with annexes on exhaust volume calculation, exhaust volume curves and the test rigs. It was issued on 13 July 2018 and has applied since 1 February 2019.

This standard was drafted in accordance with the rules given in GB/T 1.1-2009.

1 Scope

This standard specifies the model and structure type and technology of the compound high-speed exhaust gas intake valve (hereinafter referred to as "exhaust valve") requirements, materials, inspection and test methods, inspection rules, marking, packaging, storage and transportation.

This standard is applicable to exhaust valves whose nominal pressure is not greater than PN25, nominal size DN50~DN300, and medium water temperature is not higher than 55 °C.

3 Terms and definitions

The following terms and definitions apply to this document.

3.1 Exhaust valve

It can be used for rapid exhaust when the pipe empty pipe is filled with water, and can quickly intake when negative pressure is generated in the pipe. It can be discharged in the pipeline under working pressure a small amount of air and automatic sealing of water, with large and small inlet and outlet valves.
