Scope
GB/T 36456.1-2018 is the English-translated version of 面向工程领域的共享信息模型 第1部分:领域信息模型框架.
GB/T 36456.1-2018 is the first of three parts of the Chinese national standard on shared information models for the engineering domain, and sets out the domain information model framework.
It defines information model, shared information model and engineering domain, and describes the framework as a template for representing and building the models shared across a product life cycle, from design and construction to operation and maintenance.
It standardises the modelling method for shared information models and the general classes and attributes they use, with references to the W3C JSON-LD 1.0 and RDF 1.1 syntaxes (N-Triples, Turtle and XML) and to the GB/T 2659 country codes.
It supports the development of information models for specific engineering fields and of the applications that use them. It was issued on 7 June 2018 and has applied since 1 January 2019.

Foreword
GB/T 36456 "Shared Information Model for Engineering" is divided into three parts.
--- Part 1. Domain information model framework;
--- Part 2. Domain Information Service Interface;
--- Part 3. Test methods.
This part is the first part of GB/T 36456.
This part is drafted in accordance with the rules given in GB/T 1.1-2009.
1 Scope
This part of GB/T 36456 specifies a framework for shared information models for engineering, and standardizes the modeling methods, classes and attributes for information models.
This section is intended to support the development and implementation of specific information models for specific engineering areas, as well as to support the development of related applications.
2 Normative references

3 Terms and definitions
The following terms and definitions apply to this document.
3.1 Information model
Modeled data that reflects the form, characteristics, and relationships of objects in a specific domain of the real world.
3.2 Shared information model
Information model for multi-party information sharing and integration through specific information positioning and access methods (such as networks, links, identifiers), Participants can reference models of the same storage source.
3.3 Engineering domain
The main goal of building or manufacturing a physical product, including a collection of industries that design, construct, operate, and maintain a lifecycle.
3.4 Engineering domain-oriented sharable information model
Information models shared among multiple lifecycles, multiple participants, and multiple software systems in the engineering field are also referred to as engineering in this section. The domain shares an information model.
3.5 Domain information model framework
A template that describes the general representation, construction, and requirements of the shared information model in the engineering domain.
Note: In the specific engineering field, the information model can be extended and instantiated through the domain information model framework.
