GB/T 36456.3-2018 is the English-translated version of 面向工程领域的共享信息模型第3部分：测试方法.

GB/T 36456.3-2018 is the third part of the Chinese series on a shared information model for the engineering domain, and it sets out how to test an implementation of the domain information model framework defined in GB/T 36456.1.

It defines the terms used in testing, such as the implementation under test (IUT), completeness checking, business compliance checking against the rules of the engineering domain, test items and the pass, fail or inconclusive test verdict.

It covers the general requirements, an overview of the test process, the judgment method, report generation and a formal description language for test items, with an informative annex giving an example of its use.

It applies to testing information model implementations in engineering and to developing information sharing test software. It was issued on 7 June 2018 and has applied since 1 January 2019.

Foreword

GB/T 36456 "Shared Information Model for Engineering" is divided into three parts.

--- Part 1. Domain information model framework;

--- Part 2. Domain Information Service Interface;

--- Part 3. Test methods.

This part is the third part of GB/T 36456.

This part is drafted in accordance with the rules given in GB/T 1.1-2009.

1 Scope

This part of GB/T 36456 specifies the test method for the implementation of the domain information model framework described in GB/T 36456.1.

This part is applicable to the test of the implementation of the information model in the engineering field, and is also applicable to the development of the information sharing test software for guiding the engineering field.

3 Terms and definitions

The following terms and definitions apply to this document.

3.1 Engineering domain information model implementation

For the implementation of an information model that claims to conform to GB/T 36456.1 in an engineering field, it is referred to as the information model implementation.

3.2 Completeness check

A check that the components, attributes, and relationships in the information model are consistent with all specified requirements.

3.3 Business compliance check

A check that the components, attributes, and relationships in the information model are consistent with all the business rules in the engineering domain.

3.4 Subject implementation

The test model claims to comply with the information model implementation of GB/T 36456.1.

3.5 Test item

A project that is directly tested in an information model test. A test item contains at least one explicit test purpose.

3.6 Formal description item

Test items expressed in a formal description language.

3.7 Test judge

A "pass", "fail" or "no conclusion" statement of the IUT test relative to the test item.
