Scope
GB/T 36441-2018 is the English-translated version of 硬件产品与操作系统兼容性规范.
GB/T 36441-2018 specifies how compatible hardware products must be with an operating system.
It defines compatibility levels and driver requirements covering the source of the driver, its format and its installation and deployment, then sets compatibility requirements for complete computers, for components - CPU, motherboard chipset, memory, hard disk, wired and wireless network cards, graphics and sound cards, optical drive, mouse and keyboard - and for external devices such as printers, scanners, video capture devices and USB storage.
It closes with the requirements for the test report. It applies to evaluating the driver compatibility of personal computers and common external devices, and servers may refer to it. It was issued on 7 June 2018 and has applied since 1 January 2019.

Foreword
This standard was drafted in accordance with the rules given in GB/T 1.1-2009.
1 Scope
This standard specifies the degree of compatibility between hardware products and operating systems, driver requirements, compatibility requirements, and test report requirements.
This standard applies to the evaluation of driver compatibility of personal computers and commonly used external devices. The server can refer to the implementation.
2 Terms and Definitions
The following terms and definitions apply to this document.
2.1 Compatibility
Computer components or peripheral devices can be identified and run by the designated operating system.
2.2 Driver
A computer program that controls external devices and converts data coming in and out of the device.
2.3 Personal computer
A microcomputer designed primarily for personal use.
2.4 Printer
A hard copy record of data is generated mainly in the form of a discrete graphic character sequence, where the characters belong to one or more types of pre-defined An output device for a given character set.

2.5 Scanner
A device that examines a dedicated mode, one by one, and generates an analog or digital signal corresponding to the mode.
