Scope

GB/T 36387-2018 is the English-translated version of 病媒生物防制操作规程 船舶.

GB/T 36387-2018 lays down the rules for controlling disease vectors on ships, namely rats, mosquitoes, flies and cockroaches. It sets out the methods and procedures for surveying these vectors on board, for controlling them and for evaluating how well the control has worked.

Its definitions separate the closed sites of a ship, which can be isolated by shutting doors, windows, vents and hatch covers, from open sites such as decks, and describe the positive evidence of infestation, from live or dead rats to droppings, holes and nests.

It draws on the GB/T 23795 to GB/T 23798 methods for monitoring vector density and on SN/T procedures for the sanitary treatment, fumigation and deratization of ships. It was issued on 7 June 2018 and has applied since 1 January 2019.
