3 Terms and Definitions

The terms and definitions defined in GB/T 31721-2015, as well as the following terms and definitions, apply to this document.

3.1 spray fluid

Liquid formulations containing insecticidal active ingredients, after dilution, can be used for space spraying, indoor residual spraying, hedge spraying, etc.

Note. This mainly includes microemulsions, wettable powders, suspensions, microencapsulated suspensions, ultra-low volume liquids, thermal atomizers, etc.

space spray

The liquid insecticide is dispersed into tiny mist particles with a diameter of less than 50 µm through an insecticidal device.

3.3 Ultra-low volume spray

Using an ultra-low volume nozzle or high-speed vortex airflow, insecticide crude oil or high-concentration formulations are dispersed into very small, high-concentration mists.

Particles (< 30 µm) can cause target organisms to be poisoned by contact with fog particles.

[Source. GB/T 31721-2015, 4.5.1.10]

3.4 low volume spray

The insecticide formulation is propelled through a centrifugal nozzle by a high-speed airflow generated by a high-speed fan, and the liquid is atomized by the vortex airflow.

The particles are pulverized into droplets with a diameter of 75 µm or less, which kill the target organisms.
