Scope
GB/T 36161-2018 is the English-translated version of 耐磨黄铜棒.
GB/T 36161-2018 is the Chinese national product standard for wear-resistant (antifriction) brass rod and bar. It covers round, square, rectangular and regular polygon bars made by continuous casting, hot extrusion or drawing, and classifies them by alloy grade, code, temper and size.
It sets the requirements, test methods and inspection rules, together with packaging, marking, transport, storage, the quality certificate and what an order must state.
The tests it calls on include tensile and Brinell hardness testing, ultrasonic testing of bar, chemical and X-ray fluorescence analysis, the ammonia test for residual stress, dimensional measurement, fracture testing and microstructure inspection.
Brass bar producers, buyers and inspection bodies use it for supply and acceptance. It was issued on 14 May 2018 and has applied since 1 February 2019.

This standard was drafted in accordance with the rules given in GB/T 1.1-2009.
1 Scope
This standard specifies the requirements, test methods, inspection rules and packaging, marking, transportation, storage, quality certificate and order of wear-resistant brass rods. Single (or contract).
This standard applies to round, square, rectangular, regular polygon continuous casting, hot extrusion and drawing of wear-resistant brass bars (below Referred to as a bar).
