Scope

GB/T 36105-2018 is the English-translated version of 法人和其他组织统一社会信用代码赋码操作规范.

GB/T 36105-2018 governs how the unified social credit code, the single identifier of legal entities and other organizations in China, is allocated.

It defines code segments, the organization code administration and the registration administrations, and sets two allocation principles: uniqueness, since the 9-digit subject identifier is unique nationwide, each subject has one code and a code stays reserved after deregistration; and timeliness, since registration departments must return the code and related information to the organization code administration within the set deadline.

It also covers the coding modes, the allocation workflow and the operating rules, and its normative Annex A lists the data items to be returned. It applies to the departments that allocate and manage the code, alongside GB 32100 and GB/T 36104. It was issued on 15 March 2018 and has applied since 1 July 2018.
