Scope
GB/T 36039-2018 is the English-translated version of 燃气电站天然气系统安全生产管理规范.
GB/T 36039-2018 sets out how the natural gas system of a gas-fired power plant is to be managed safely. It covers the design, construction and acceptance of the gas system, its operation and maintenance, and safety and emergency management.
A gas-fired power plant is defined here as one that generates electricity from natural gas, coalbed methane, coal gas or liquefied natural gas (LNG).
The standard builds on national codes and standards for natural gas quality and sampling, gas pipeline and urban gas design, fire protection of buildings and power plants, electrical equipment in explosive atmospheres, lightning protection, combustible gas detection and alarm, electrostatic grounding, safety valves, personal protective equipment and emergency plans.
It is meant for the owners and operators of these plants. It was issued on 15 March 2018 and has applied since 1 October 2018.
