a) The scope of application has been changed (see Chapter 1, Chapter 1 of the.2018 edition);

b) The terms "low-voltage power supply" and "power outage switching" and their definitions (see

3.2 in the.2018 edition) have been deleted, and the term "ships berthing in port" has been added. "Ship-to-shore power system", "low-voltage shore power supply", "cable management device" and "low-voltage transfer device" and their definitions (see 3.1~3.4);

c) The composition of the shore power system for vessels berthing at port has been changed (see 4.1,.2018 version 4.1);

d) The power supply method has been removed (see section

4.2 of the.2018 version);

e) Requirements for shore power frequency power supply and shore power frequency converter configuration have been added (see 4.2);

f) The requirements for work environment conditions have been changed (see 5.1,.2018 version 5.1);

1 Scope

GB/T 36028.2-2025 is the Chinese national standard covering the low voltage shore connection for the smaller vessels - inland barges, tugs and fishing boats, where the currents are high for the power delivered and the cable and connector are handled by the crew rather than by a gantry. It replaces GB/T 36028.2-2018. It was issued on 2 December 2025 and has been in force since 1 July 2026, replacing GB/T 36028.2-2018. The document is under the responsibility of the Ministry of Transport. This document specifies the system composition, general provisions, and technical specifications for low-voltage power supply to shore power systems (hereinafter referred to as "shore power systems") on vessels berthed in port. and experimental methods. This document applies to the design, development, and application of shore power systems for ships berthing in ports with a voltage not exceeding 1000V AC.
