GB/T 35817-2018 is the English-translated version of 室内用树脂改性木材通用技术要求.
GB/T 35817-2018 sets the general technical requirements for resin-modified wood intended for indoor use, that is sawn timber impregnated throughout with a water-soluble thermosetting resin such as a urea-formaldehyde, phenolic or melamine resin.
It defines resin-modified wood, untreated wood and moisture absorption equilibrium moisture content, and covers the requirements for the product, beginning with the limits for material defects, together with the inspection methods, inspection rules, marking, packaging, transport and storage.

1 Scope
This standard specifies the terms and definitions, requirements, inspection methods, inspection rules, marking, packaging, transportation and storage of resin-modified wood.
This standard applies to sawdust that has been impregnated with resin as a whole.

3 Terms and Definitions
The terms and definitions defined in GB/T 4823 and the following apply to this document.
3.1 Resin modified wood
The use of water-soluble thermosetting resins (such as urea-formaldehyde resins, phenolic resins, melamine resins, etc.) as the main modifier for wood processing Modified wood.
3.2 Untreated wood
Unmodified wood.
3.3 Moisture absorption equilibrium moisture content
The stable moisture content finally achieved after dry wood absorbs water in a certain temperature and relative humidity environment.
