GB/T 35701-2017 is the English-translated version of 船舶电力推进变频器.
GB/T 35701-2017 is the Chinese national standard for the converter of a ship's electric propulsion system, the power electronic unit that feeds the propulsion motor.
It gives the classification of the converters, the requirements - electrical performance, insulation, protection, cooling, the environmental conditions of a ship including temperature, humidity, vibration and inclination, and electromagnetic compatibility - the test methods, the inspection rules and the provisions on packaging, marking, transport and storage.
It applies to the design, manufacture and testing of the AC power converters used in ship electric propulsion. Shipyards, converter makers and classification surveyors use it. Issued on 29 December 2017, it has applied since 1 July 2018.

1 Scope
This standard specifies the ship electric propulsion inverter classification, requirements, test methods, inspection rules, packaging signs and transport and storage.
This standard applies to the ship by the power electronic devices constitute the exchange of power inverter (hereinafter referred to as the drive) design, Manufacture and test.
