Scope

GB/T 13029.2-2026 is the English-translated version of 船用电缆 同轴软电缆的选择和敷设.

GB/T 13029.2-2026 is a standard on the selection and laying of flexible coaxial cables for use on ships. It is Part 2 of the GB/T 13029 series on marine cables and gives requirements for choosing and installing coaxial flexible cables, with a section on cable selection that covers general requirements and conductors.

It applies to cables between shipboard high-frequency signal equipment, with transmission frequencies above 100 kHz and asymmetric to ground, and to cables between equipment in communication and radar systems.

Its normative references include other parts of the series and standards on cables. Issued on 2 July 2026 and applicable from 1 November 2026, it replaces GB/T 13029.2-2010.

e) The requirements for the outer conductor of the cable have been changed (see 4.2.4, 3.1.3 of the 2010 version);

f) A recommendation has been added that the insulating materials should comply with the relevant requirements of GB/T 33596 or GB/T 11322.1 (see 4.3.1);

g) The requirements for cable insulation materials have been changed (see 4.3.2, 3.1.4 of the 2010 edition);

h) Increased requirements for cable shielding structure (see 4.4);

i) Requirements for cable sheath materials have been added (see 4.5.1, 4.5.2);

j) The mechanical strength and corrosion resistance requirements for cable sheath materials have been changed (see 4.5.3, 3.1.5 of the 2010 version);

k) Increased requirements for cable liquid resistance (see 4.5.4);

l) The requirement for the thickness of the cable outer sheath has been increased (see 4.5.5);

m) The requirement that other cable requirements should comply with Chapters 2 to 10 of GB/T 13029.1-2003 (see the 2010 edition) has been removed. 3.1.6);

(n) The requirement that cables should be inspected according to the methods specified in the relevant standards has been removed (see 3.1.7 of the 2010 edition);

o) The requirement has been added that coaxial flexible cables should be laid in separate bundles from power cables and communication cables (see 5.1);

p) The requirement for cable grounding has been removed (see 3.2.2 in the 2010 edition);

q) Added requirements that cables should not be subjected to excessive stretching, bending, or compression during installation (see 5.5);

r) A normative appendix concerning the performance requirements of cable conductors has been added (see Appendix A).

Introduction

With the continuous development of shipbuilding technology, electrical and electronic systems and equipment are becoming increasingly important in ships, and cables, as electrical and electronic components... Electronic systems and equipment are key components, and their selection and installation directly affect the overall performance and safety of a ship. GB/T 13029 aims to... This provides a unified technical basis and practical guidance for the rational selection, correct laying, and installation of cables in marine electrical and electronic systems and equipment.

Ensure that all types of cables can operate stably for a long time under complex marine environmental conditions and meet the specific requirements of signal transmission for specific systems.

GB/T 13029 consists of three parts.

---Marine Electrical Installations Part 1: Cable Selection and Installation. The aim is to standardize the rated voltage used in fixed electrical systems on board.

The technical requirements for the selection and installation of 15kV and below cables are the basic specifications for the application of cables in ships.

---Selection and laying of coaxial flexible cables for marine applications. The aim is to standardize the use of high-frequency signal equipment on ships (transmission signal frequencies greater than...).

The selection and laying technical requirements for connection lines between communication and radar system equipment (100kHz and asymmetric to ground) are for marine applications.

Specialized guidance is provided for the application of coaxial flexible cables to ensure effective transmission of high-frequency signals and normal system operation.

The selection and laying technical requirements for connection cables between low-frequency and radio frequency signal devices with frequencies greater than 100kHz are essential for marine communication.

Specialized guidance is provided for the application of cables and radio frequency cables to ensure effective communication and signaling within the ship, from low frequencies to radio frequencies. transmission.

GB/T 13029 comprehensively considers the special characteristics of the marine environment and references relevant domestic and international standards, regulations, and engineering practices. Applications When developing this document, it is necessary to consider the specific technical requirements of the systems and equipment, and coordinate with the overall ship design, to ensure the safety of the ship's electrical and electronic systems. Overall performance, safety and reliability. Selection and laying of marine coaxial flexible cables

4 Cable Selection

4.1 General Requirements

4.1.1 The cable should be selected based on its characteristic impedance, attenuation, and other key performance indicators according to the frequency in use, as well as factors such as ambient temperature and compatible connectors. Select.

4.1.2 The selected cables shall comply with the relevant provisions of GB/T 13029.1.

4.2 Conductors

4.2.1 The inner conductor of the cable should be made of bare copper, metal-plated, copper-clad steel, copper-clad aluminum, or other materials with good electrical properties, certain mechanical strength, and flexibility. Soft materials.

4.2.2 Under normal conditions, stranded conductors are preferred. If solid conductors are used, the potential for vibration or displacement caused by the movement of the ship or equipment should be assessed. The potential impact.

4.2.3 The performance of the inner conductor shall conform to the requirements of GB/T 3956 or Appendix A. Solid conductors or fully stranded conductors shall not be spliced.
