3 Terms and definitions
The following terms and definitions apply to this document.
3.1 Short circuit than
Under the specified operating conditions and network structure, the ratio of the short-circuit capacity of a specified point in the power grid to the apparent power of the converter network side.
3.2 Catastrophicfailure
A sudden, generalized failure that makes it impossible to recover from such a failure and to immediately terminate it.
Note. Catastrophic failures often result in cascading system failures.
4 operating mode
4.1 Parallel power supply mode
Generator system and auxiliary generator set run in parallel to feed the entire ship load and keep the system frequency constant.
4.2 Transfer power mode
Onboard Auxiliary Generators Shutdown Without power supply, the shaft generator system provides the power requirements of the entire ship and allows the host to operate at variable speed
