Foreword

This document complies with the provisions of GB/T 1.1-2020 "Standardization Work Guidelines Part

1.Structure and Drafting Rules of Standardization Documents". Drafting. This document specifies the technical requirements related to food quality. For food safety requirements, please refer to relevant laws, regulations, policies, and food safety standards. document. This document replaces GB/T 35026-2018 "Tea Seed Oil". Compared with GB/T 35026-2018, the main differences are structural adjustments and editorial changes. Aside from the changes, the main technical changes are as follows:

---Added categories (see Chapter 4);

---The raw material requirements have been removed (see section

4.1 of the.2018 version);

1 Scope

GB/T 35026-2026 is the Chinese national standard covering oil from the seeds of the tea plant - distinct from camellia oil, which comes from a different species, and specified on the fatty acid profile that separates the two as much as on the usual quality figures. It replaces GB/T 35026-2018 and has been in force since 1 September 2026, with the camellia oil standard GB/T 11765-2026. It was issued on 27 February 2026 and has been in force since 1 September 2026, replacing GB/T 35026-2018. The document is under the responsibility of the National Food and Strategic Reserves Administration. This document defines the terminology and definitions of tea seed oil, and specifies its classification, relative density and fatty acid composition, quality requirements, and inspection procedures. It outlines the requirements for labeling and marking, packaging, storage, transportation, and sales, and describes the corresponding inspection methods. This document applies to both crude tea seed oil and refined tea seed oil. The quality specifications for crude tea seed oil are only applicable to the trade of crude tea seed oil.
