Scope

GB/T 34701-2026 is the English-translated version of 再生烟气脱硝催化剂微量元素分析方法.

GB/T 34701-2026 is an analysis method for trace elements in regenerated flue gas deNOx catalysts. It describes a method that uses inductively coupled plasma atomic emission spectrometry, and its chapters cover the principle and the reagents or materials, including nitric acid and hydrofluoric acid and the preparation of nitric acid solution.

It applies to the mass fractions of potassium, iron, magnesium, sodium, phosphorus, arsenic, chromium, mercury, lead, thallium and beryllium in these catalysts.

Compared with the previous edition, lead, thallium and beryllium were added to the determination. Its normative references are GB/T 602, GB/T 6003.1, GB/T 6679 and GB/T 6682.

Issued on 2 July 2026 and applicable from 1 February 2027, it replaces GB/T 34701-2017.

Foreword

This document complies with the provisions of GB/T 1.1-2020 "Standardization Work Guidelines Part 1: Structure and Drafting Rules of Standardization Documents".

This document replaces GB/T 34701-2017 "Analysis Method for Trace Elements in Regenerated Flue Gas Denitrification Catalysts" and is consistent with GB/T 34701-2017.

In comparison, aside from structural adjustments and editorial changes, the main technical changes are as follows.

---The scope has been revised to include the determination of "lead (Pb), thallium (Tl), and beryllium (Be)" (see Chapter 1, Chapter 1 of the 2017 edition);

---Requirements for nitric acid and hydrofluoric acid have been added (see 5.1 and 5.2);

---Added information on nitric acid solution, its requirements, and preparation methods (see 5.3);

---The standard solutions for chromium, potassium, iron, magnesium, sodium, and phosphorus have been removed (see sections 5.5-5.10 of the 2017 edition);

---The requirements for reagents used in mixed standard solutions have been changed (see 5.6, 5.11 in the 2017 edition);

---The materials for volumetric flasks and sample tubes have been changed (see 6.4, 2017 edition of 6.4);

---Added instruments and equipment (see 6.5, 6.6);

---The recommended sampling locations for catalyst samples have been added (see 7.1);

---The material requirements for test sieves used in catalyst sample preparation have been changed (see 7.2, 2017 version 7.2);

---Added requirements for the pretreatment of test vessels (see 7.3.1);

---The requirements for test solution preparation have been changed (see 7.3.2.1, 7.3 in the 2017 version);

---A microwave digestion preparation method has been added (see 7.3.2.2);

---Added operating condition requirements for inductively coupled plasma atomic emission spectrometers (see 8.1);

---Added analytical line wavelength requirements for lead, thallium, and beryllium (see Table 2); changed analytical line wavelength requirements for arsenic (see Table 2).

1 Scope

This document describes a method for determining trace elements in regenerated flue gas denitrification catalysts using inductively coupled plasma atomic emission spectrometry.

This document applies to potassium (K), iron (Fe), magnesium (Mg), sodium (Na), phosphorus (P), arsenic (As), chromium (Cr), and mercury in regenerated flue gas denitrification catalysts.

Determination of the mass fractions of Hg, lead (Pb), thallium (Tl) and beryllium (Be).

3 Terms and Definitions

This document does not contain any terms or definitions that need to be defined.

Inductively coupled plasma atomic emission spectrometry (ICP-AES) is a method that uses a high-frequency induction coil to generate plasma from high-purity argon gas under acidic conditions, and then measures the plasma.

The test solution is atomized to introduce inductively coupled plasma, and the emission spectral intensity of the elements in the test solution is measured. The quantitative method is then used to determine the emission intensity of the elements in the test solution.

Unless otherwise specified, the reagents used in this document shall be of analytical grade or higher purity, and the standard solutions for impurity determination shall conform to the specifications of GB/T 602.

The water used in the experiment should meet the specifications for Class II water in GB/T 6682.

5 Reagents or materials

5.1 Nitric acid. 65%~68% (mass fraction).

5.2 Hydrofluoric acid. greater than or equal to 40% (mass fraction).

5.3 Nitric acid solution. 1 4.Nitric acid and water are prepared in a volume ratio of 1.4.

5.4 Mercury standard solution. 100 µg/mL.
