Scope
GB/T 34696-2017 is the English-translated version of 废弃化学品收集技术指南.
GB/T 34696-2017 is a technical guide for collecting disused chemicals.
Clause 1 states that the standard specifies the terms and definitions of waste chemical collection, the general provisions, the classification requirements for waste chemicals, the requirements for their collection, the requirements for their packaging, their labelling and labelling requirements, their storage requirements, the management requirements for waste chemical collection, and safety and pollution prevention.
The same clause states that it applies to the classification, collection, storage and day-to-day management activities of waste chemical producers and waste chemical operators, and that it does not apply to medical waste, radioactive waste or biochemical waste, including microorganisms and bioactive substances.
Clause 3 takes its terms from GB/T 29329 and adds its own; the first, which the draft heads "Disposal of general chemicals" with the English form "disusedgeneralchemical", covers general chemicals and their packaging that have been abandoned or abandoned for use, with a note that unqualified, expired and inferior general chemicals are included, and the rest of its wording is too damaged in the draft to report.
The second definition, for disposal, begins as the methods of incinerating waste chemicals or otherwise altering their physical, chemical and biological properties in order to reduce their amount, and the draft cuts off mid-sentence there, so the general provisions, the classification, collection, packaging, labelling, storage and management requirements and the safety clause are not shown.
Clause 2 cites GB 190, GB/T 191-2008, all parts of GB 5085, GB 6944-2012, GB 8978, GB 12268-2012, GB 13690, GB 15603, GB 16297, GB 18218, GB/T 29329 and GB/T 31190, and two further entries, on the preparation of chemical safety labels and on pollution control at hazardous waste storage sites, whose numbers the draft does not print.
The page gives no table of contents, so the clause titles beyond the first three cannot be confirmed. The standard carries ICS 13.030.01 and Chinese classification Z04, was proposed by the China Petroleum and Chemical Industry Federation and is kept by SAC/TC294. It was issued on 1 November 2017 and has applied since 1 May 2018.
