Scope
GB/T 34428.4-2017 is the English-translated version of 高速公路监控设施通信规程 第4部分: 气象检测器.
GB/T 34428.4-2017 fixes the communication procedure for the weather detectors of expressway surveillance and control systems. Clause 1 states that this part applies to the data communication between the host computer and the weather detector inside an expressway monitoring system.
Its foreword declares that GB/T 34428, the communication rules for the devices of expressway surveillance and control systems, is divided into six parts, namely general rules, vehicle detector, LED variable message signs, weather detector, tunnel environment detector and map board, and that this document is Part 4.
The document is a short one: after the scope and the normative references, the whole technical content sits in clause 3, Communication procedures.
Clause 3.1 requires the communication flow and the classification and coding of information to comply with GB/T 34428.1-2017; for ASCII coding the information content uses characters coded according to GB/T 1988 together with the graphic character sets laid down and extended by GB/T 11383 and GB/T 2311, and only the body part of the code is listed here, the heading part being defined by GB/T 34428.1-2017; for XML coding only the encoded data part is listed, the header section again following GB/T 34428.1-2017.
Clause 3.2 classifies the information exchanged between weather detector and host computer into integrated meteorological data, visibility data and pavement condition data, the earliest not-yet-uploaded records of each of those three, and the historical meteorological, visibility and pavement status data covering a past period, with the information type codes given in Table 1.
This part is administered by the National Technical Committee for Traffic Engineering Facilities (Highway) Standardization (SAC/TC223). It was issued on 29 September 2017 and has applied since 1 April 2018.

1 Scope
GB/T 34428 provisions of this part of the highway monitoring for the weather detector communications procedures.
This section applies to highway monitoring system in the host computer and the weather between the data detector.

3 Communication procedures
3.1 General requirements
3.1.1 Communication flow, classification and coding of information shall comply with the requirements of GB/T 34428.1-2017.
3.1.2 For ASCII code, the information content of information using GB/T 1988 encoded characters, while using GB/T 11383 And GB/T 2311 provisions and expansion of the encoded graphics character set. This section lists only the body part of the code, the title (HEADING) part The definition should be in accordance with the requirements of GB/T 34428.1-2017.
3.1.3 For XML coding, this section lists only the XML encoded data part of the header definition section should be in accordance with GB/T 34428.1-2017 requirements.
3.2 Information Classification
The information exchanged between the weather detector and the host computer includes the following.
a) integrated meteorological data;
b) Visibility data;
c) Pavement condition data;
d) The earliest history did not upload comprehensive meteorological data;
e) historical meteorological data;
f) history did not upload visibility data as early as possible;
g) Visibility data over historical period;
h) the history did not upload the first pavement state data;
i) Pavement status data during historical time. The above information type code in Table 1.
